Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk: Books and maps we used

During the walk we used the maps Outdoor Leisure sheets 33 and 34 of Ordnance Survey. In these two maps the route is indicated and accompanied with some explaining remarks. Beside these maps we also carried next Cicerone guide:
In this book we could read what we had missed that day or what we could expect next day.
We prefered this booklet over the one of Wainwright, because of the lay-out and the used font. The small book from Wainwright waas handwritten and that made it difficult to read. Besides the booklet from Terry Marsh also contrained a handbook and accomodation guide.

After the walk we bought as souvenir: In this book you can relive the Coast to Coast walk by watching the great photographs.

Last year I bought another book from Wainwright and Derry Brabbs: And because we have planned to pay another visit to the Lake District in April this year, we bought Touring map 3 "Lake District" scale 1:63,300 from Ordnance Survey. And together with the two books we have started to make plans for some walks. To get some ideas I have visited "Walking Britain."
